Our Approach to Care
At Connected Chiropractic, we specialize in Principled Chiropractic Care for the entire family. We provide specific, scientific chiropractic adjustments over time & with repetition to correct the cause of aches, pains & dysfunction at the source. We help many people with many different health challenges & we look forward to helping you achieve your health goals.
The majority of health care today focuses on symptoms & the goal of treatment is relief of symptoms. Currently, many chiropractors & other forms of health care successfully provide relief care. What many people don’t know, is chiropractic wasn’t created for relief of pain or symptoms, it was created to allow the body to heal itself naturally. In our office, we do care about your aches & pains, but we care more about how your body is functioning as a whole.
At Connected Chiropractic, our goal is to identify the underlying cause of your health challenge & correct it at the source. In chiropractic, a misalignment of one of the bones in your spine is called a Vertebral Subluxation & it hinders your body’s ability to adapt & heal itself. In our office, we locate Vertebral Subluxations, assess & analyze its components, then design a specific program of adjustments unique for your case. We strive to help you & your entire family learn how to reach optimal health & wellness, then maintain a healthy spine so you can benefit long term.
Meet Your Doctors
Dr. Jill Young was born & raised in Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK then achieved her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas. TX.
When Dr. Jill was young, she & her older brother, Ryan, were diagnosed with Scoliosis. Ryan’s curve was much more severe than Jill’s & required Herrington rods to be surgically placed to correct the curve. It was a long & hard recovery for him and very stressful on her parents. Later on, when she started playing volleyball, Dr. Jill started having hip & low back pain as a 13-year-old. After lots of imaging & physical therapy, her mom took her to the chiropractor. Only a few visits in her pain was drastically lower, she was performing better in sports & had more energy.
These two big life experiences generated her passion to serve kids. It is her goal to help prevent these childhood issues or catch them earlier, then help these kiddos maintain their health as they grow into adults.
Furthermore, her thought process evolved into “when is the earliest in a childs life that you could care for them?” Answer: when they are developing in the womb of their mother. Dr. Jill then pursued her certification in Webster Technique, which is a technique that supports a more comfortable, safer & easier birth.
The human body has an incredible ability to self-heal & self-regulate by way of the Nervous System. Her mission is to serve the families of Granbury, especially moms & kiddos, to enhance health, healing & connection.
Dr. Stephen Young grew up in the small town of Burnet, TX. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology at Texas A&M University in College Station. GIG ‘EM! He then achieved his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas, Texas
Dr. Stephen went to the chiropractor during his high school and college years to remain healthy and performing well in athletics. However, it wasn’t until later that he discovered his passion for chiropractic care. At an early age, Dr. Stephen was diagnosed with ADHD. He was prescribed medication after medication to help “fix” his condition; which led to several unwanted side effects. The side effects eventually became too much and he decided to stop taking the medication altogether. Dr. Stephen also witnessed members of his family grow up and deal with the same scenarios of taking medication for symptomatic relief. It began to make him wonder, is there not another way to reach optimal health? It wasn’t until his college years that Dr. Stephen understood that true health and wellness is obtained by finding and correcting the root cause of health issues instead of masking the symptoms. This knowledge generated his passion to serve his family and his community by providing corrective chiropractic care.
Dr. Stephen is an avid outdoorsmen. When he is not treating practice members, he is either hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife, family and friends, or rooting on his Fightin’ Texas Aggies!
